I.R.I.S., a company specializing in Intelligent Document Recognition (IDR), Enterprise Content Management (ECM) and Optimized IT Infrastructure (ICT), has announced the release of its generator of compressed PDF files IRISCompressor.

IRISCompressor is based on I.R.I.S.’ patent-protected intelligent High‐Quality Compression technology (iHQC) and converts standard color or black & white document images (such as JPEG, JPEG 2000, PNG, TIFF, and image PDF.) into a PDF document of up to 20 times smaller size, compliant with all PDF viewers.

I.R.I.S.’s latest product enables users to significantly reduce the size of images without compromising text resolution and legibility. The output documents can be printed with preserved visual quality. Users can save time by speeding up large file transfer and save money from storage space and bandwidth while sharing the documents. The compressed documents can be retrieved in a click with keywords searches.

Bernard de Fabribeckers, Sales Director, comments: “I.R.I.S.’ exclusive hyper‐compression technology is a simple and efficient solution to the storage and sharing issues a user faces today/. With I.R.I.S.’ iHQC (Intelligent High‐Quality Compression technology) they can shrink image files (including text, pictures, tables, etc.) up to 50 times compared with their original size, while preserving visual quality, for easy sharing and cheap storage! Compressed documents, in standard PDF formats, are fully searchable and can be opened with any usual viewer.”
