Accusoft, the provider of document recognition, content and imaging solutions, has announced the release of ImagXpress v11.

The company’s imaging SDK with multi-touch and gesture support provides patented speed optimization mode for JPEG 2000, and supports JPEG XR compression and decompression. ImagXpress reduces development time by enabling developers to add imaging functionality to applications with very few lines of code.

The patented JPEG 2000 speed optimization allows application to deliver fast JPEG 2000 viewing, as well as open and save ISO compliant JPEG XR images. "ImagXpress continues its long standing tradition of making application development easier and faster by providing maximum function with minimal coding required." said Steve Wilson, Director, Native Core Imaging. "Our customers continue to choose ImagXpress for its rich feature set, image viewing speed, robust dependability and ease of use."

The latest release of ImagXpress adds support for the multi-touch gestures that are used on common touch-based devices for Windows 7. This version also supports new camera types and includes the ability to display an embedded thumbnail of a camera raw image.

Developers can utilize the new protractor annotation to measure angles for blueprints and schematics. Another new feature includes annotation display on thumbnail images. This latest version also supports the TWAIN 1.0 and 2.0 specs in a single component.
