Nuance XT9 Debuts in Europe

Nuance’s XT9 predictive text technology is featured in the Toshiba Libretto W100 mini-notebook PC European model. The product was launched to celebrate the introduction of Toshiba’s first laptop PC for the mass market 25 years ago.
XT9 alows users to input text on the mini-notebook with the help of a touchscreen QWERTY keyboard. Now that XT9 is available across the European market on the Toshiba Libretto W100 in 18 languages, Nuance has extended its predictive text technology to the mini-notebook PC market.

XT9 is part the company’s portfolio of T9 predictive text products which feature spell correction, regional error correction as well as seamless switching between input modes across letters, numbers, and symbols. The products support a wide variety of languages including English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Dutch, Portuguese, Czech, Danish, Greek, Finnish, Hungarian, Norwegian, Polish, Russian, Swedish, Turkish, and Slovak.
